•Experience in similar positions for technical services companies. Proven track record within the power and oil & gas industry is a must.
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar role in Field Operations;
•Demonstrated knowledge and expertise of installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of steam turbines, gearboxes and compressors
•Strong leader, as well as in the workshop as in Field Operations;
•The ability to execute high quality of work, as well as the ability to control quality & coach/ steer colleagues;
•Fluent in English;
•Prepared to live in Qatar
•Prepared to travel extensively in the Middle East.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Bachelor’s degree (hbo)(technical)
•You lead & execute (on-site) projects and are responsible for on-site project management with a high quality standard.
•You maintain the turbo machinery equipment of our clients’ installations during projects in accordance with instruction manual, work packages and protocols.
•You provide technical assistance and advice to customers installation, operations and maintenance staff;
•Where appropriate, you assist in sales. Therefore you must have a commercial drive;
•You lead teams of technicians in major turn-key projects; You are a leader in safety;
•You work closely together with the Senior Technical Manager, Field Service Engineers & back up from Europe (Almere, The Netherlands & Essen, Germany).
•The Field Service Engineer reports hierarchically to the General Manager of the joint venture and during projects to the project manager.
