Supervisor Medical Imaging
•Minimum of 7 years experience in a Medical Imaging Department, two years of which must be at a supervisory level
•Bachelors Degree Radiological Sciences or related field or equivaJent
•Current certification I registration I license to practice diagnostic radiology

•Organize, supervise, and coordinate the provision of Medical Imaging services.
•Assist in developing, modifying and implementation of policies, procedures and protocols in the general area of the Medical Imaging Department.
•Participate in the planning, development and implementation of the departmental strategic plan,
•Assist in developing and implementing a Quality Management program for Medical Imaging services,
•Plan, monitor and review all aspects of Medical Imaging services.
•Conduct departmental meetings and represent the department by attending relevant meetings and committees as delegated.
•Ensure an adequate operational level of supplies and consumables whilst taking appropriate measures to correct deficiencies.
•Ensure compliance of all staff as per hospital Radiation Safety, Fire Department, Environmental Services, Infection Control, and Electrical Safety Protocols and guidelines.
•Participate in all staff management processes including recruitment, education, training, development and evaluation and vacation planning.
•Liaise effectively with all concerned departments ensuring a smooth operation of Medical Imaging services.
•Maintain n all records pertaining to the operation of Medical Imaging services and produce reports as required.
•Prepare and delegate work schedules and workflow charts in a fair and organized manner.
•Ensure scheduled work is completed before signing out. .
•Review and comply with hospital and departmental policies and protocols,
•Report all equipment breakdowns in a timely manner to Clinical Engineering department and ensure appropriate action is taken to reduce equipment downtime.
•Participate in departmental in-services and lectures for staff and Radiology students.
•Perform other job related duties as assigned, which are within the competency of the position holder.
